Instagram Post Sort Results Disappear After Navigation
If results, badges, and load progress clear after a refresh, new tab, profile switch, or navigation away from /username/, that is usually an expected temporary local reset. INS Sorter must not carry one profile's sort state into another page. An immediate reset is unexpected only when the tab, profile, canonical route, and page session did not change; send that case to the general not-working diagnosis.
Before rerunning, record the field, direction, load target, loaded count, and four runtime counts. Rebuild in no more than four steps, then verify the first three source posts. The sort covers only the currently loaded set; it does not change the public grid, persist a report, or continuously monitor the account.
Expected versus unexpected reset
Save a rerun card
profile route: /username/
sort field: Likes | Comments | Views | Date
direction: High to low | Low to high
load target: 25 | 50 | 100 | 200 | 1,000 | All
loaded count at finish: __
scanned / collected / currentCandidates / sortedDisplayed: __ / __ / __ / __
first 3 source-post URLs: __ / __ / __This is not an export and contains no private content. If the loaded set or field evidence changes later, the result may also change; never overwrite new page evidence with an old rank.

├─ Order remains → not a reset
└─ Immediate reversion → unexpected → preserve evidence and stop retriesFour-step rerun protocol
- Open the one-segment profile root and wait until the grid is visible and the extension is
ready. - Restore the same
field + direction + load target; do not change two variables together. - Run to
stoppedortarget-reached; record the new loaded count and four counts. - Verify the first three source-post URLs, field evidence, and direction. Label differences as “loaded-set change” or “field-evidence change,” without guessing a cause.
Stop on login/challenge/private access, a second immediate same-route reset, a need to invent old field values, or a rerun card for a different profile.
Verification and limits
For an expected route reset, confirm the old profile's order, badges, evidence, and progress cleared, then wait for the new profile to recover from checking to ready. For an unexpected reset, record the unchanged tab/profile/URL, before/after time, field/direction/target, four counts, and first three source URLs. No screenshot or secret is required.
Other sorter guides support a current-browser/currently-loaded session model, but they do not define SKU10. SKU10's local lifecycle clears cross-route state by design. It does not persist ranks, monitor changes, or modify Instagram's public order.
For an immediate same-route reset or a rerun that returns zero, use the matching branch in the general not-working checklist. To rebuild a temporary result on a supported profile, open the INS Sorter product page.
FAQ
Is a reset after switching profiles a bug?
Usually not. Clearing the old order, badges, and progress prevents evidence from profile A contaminating profile B.
Does a refresh restore the previous result automatically?
No persistence is promised. Wait for ready, then rerun from the saved parameters.
Why can the first three rows differ with the same settings?
The currently loaded set or card evidence may have changed. Compare counts and source URLs before interpreting it.
Is the rerun card an export?
No. It is a small manual record of parameters and non-sensitive readback; SKU10 does not currently export reports.
