Instagram Follower Exporter turns one Followers or Following list that your current Instagram browser session can access into a local CSV or XLSX file. The safe workflow is simple: confirm the target, choose one list and a row ceiling, run the task, then validate the file before using it.

Before you start
Each task exports one target profile's Followers or Following. The target and list must be accessible to the Instagram session already open in Chrome.
The extension does not bypass a private profile, login, verification challenge, rate limit, unavailable list, or lost page context. It also does not enrich emails or phone numbers, sync a CRM, monitor on a schedule, follow or unfollow accounts, or send messages.
Step 1: install and pin the extension
Install the extension from its Chrome Web Store listing. Open Chrome's Extensions menu, find Instagram Follower Exporter, and pin it to the toolbar.
Pinning is optional, but it makes the target-to-export workflow easier to repeat without searching the Extensions menu each time.
Step 2: open the target profile
Open the Instagram profile in Chrome and keep that tab available. You can also enter one Instagram username or profile URL in the product. A post, Reel, another website, or a non-profile Instagram path is not a valid target.
The important boundary is access: the task can only use the Followers or Following list available to the current session.
Step 3: choose Followers or Following
- Followers means accounts that follow the target profile.
- Following means accounts the target profile follows.
They are separate directions and require separate tasks. If your goal is to see current non-follow-back relationships, export both directions for the same profile and use the Followers-versus-Following workflow.
Step 4: choose the row limit, format, and deduplication
Choose a ceiling of 100, 200, 500, or 1,000 confirmed rows. A ceiling bounds the task; reaching 1,000 does not prove that a larger account's full list was covered.

Duplicate removal is enabled by default and uses the exported account id within the current task.
Step 5: start the export and follow its state
Select Start export. The task moves through visible phases such as:
You can pause, resume, or stop a task. If you stop after rows have been confirmed, those rows can remain available as a partial result.
What happens when Instagram interrupts the run
Login, verification or challenge, rate limiting, a private or unavailable target, and lost page context stop continuation. Resolve the condition in Instagram, then decide whether to start a new bounded task. The extension does not try to bypass it.
Only transient network failures and HTTP 5xx responses have a bounded retry path, with at most three attempts per request. A rate limit or challenge is not silently retried in an open-ended loop.
Step 6: download and validate the result
Before sorting or comparing the file, check:

- The confirmed-row count fits the selected ceiling.
- The file is the requested CSV or XLSX.

Blank values mean the current source did not return that field. Do not fill them by assumption. collectedAt is a local normalization time, not a follow or unfollow event time, and rowIndex is the final local order, not an Instagram ranking.
Use local History carefully
The extension keeps up to 20 recent terminal tasks in local History. A completed or partial result can be downloaded again while its saved rows still exist.
Deleting a result inside the product removes its locally saved rows. It does not delete a file you already saved elsewhere on your device.

Can one task export both Followers and Following?
No. Choose one direction per task and create two separate files when you need a relationship comparison.
What is the maximum row count?
The available ceilings are 100, 200, 500, and 1,000 confirmed rows per task. They are explicit bounds, not an unlimited or complete-coverage promise.
Do CSV and XLSX contain different fields?
No. They use the same 14-column order and the same field availability. Only the file container and downstream handling differ.
Can I download a partial result?
Yes, when confirmed rows were preserved. Keep the terminal reason and confirmed-row count with any analysis so the file is not mistaken for a complete result.
Does the extension need my Instagram password or Chrome cookies permission?
It uses the Instagram session already available in the browser. It does not ask you to paste a password or cookie value, and the current package does not request Chrome's cookies permission.
Does it automate follow, unfollow, comments, or messages?
No. It creates a bounded local CSV or XLSX export and does not perform Instagram interactions or outreach.
