Audit Instagram Posts Without Exporting Data

Fix at least 12 currently loaded cards, sort by one public field, open the Top 3, Bottom 3, and a middle source post, and finish with one single-variable test. Keep public evidence, human observation, and unknown private metrics separate. No CSV or black-box account score is required.

INS Sorter temporarily reorders one supported Instagram profile's loaded set in the current Chrome session. It does not export a file, save a report, access private Insights, backfill history, or alter the public grid. Copy and save the text matrix yourself.

What a no-export audit can answer

It can answer: “Within this disclosed page sample, which source posts deserve review, and which visible pattern merits one original test?” Inputs are one accessible profile, at least 12 loaded cards, an observation time, and one of Likes, Comments, Views, or Date.

It cannot establish complete account health, long-term trends, best posting time, reach, saves, shares, follows, conversion, paid distribution, or revenue attribution.

Seven-step on-page audit

  1. Load and disclose at least 12 cards. Label a smaller sample instead of silently expanding it.
  2. Choose Likes, Comments, Views, or Date. Never convert missing to zero.
  3. Sort temporarily and record time and direction; do not describe it as a public-profile change.
  4. Open and retain URLs for Top 3, Bottom 3, and a middle post.
  5. Write an observation and confound for each source.
  6. Keep reach, shares, saves, retention, and conversion unknown without owner data.
  7. Change one variable in the next test and judge it with data you own.

Verification checklist

  • At least 12 loaded items and observation time are disclosed.
  • One sort field is used; missing is never zero-filled.
  • Top 3, Bottom 3, and middle source URLs are retained.
  • Every conclusion traces to visible page evidence.
  • Owner-only fields stay unknown in the limitation matrix.
  • The final test changes one variable and makes no black-box or complete-history claim.

When not to insist on no export

An export or formal analytics system is appropriate when a team needs shared raw data, repeatable calculations, trends, complete history, an audit archive, or owner-only metrics. No-export is a lightweight decision path, not a universally superior data architecture.

Profile grids can also virtualize, load late, hide counts, or omit deleted content. Stop and mark insufficient_visible_sample when 12 cards or the key field cannot be obtained reliably.

Next step

Use the INS Sorter product page for a lightweight sort on one current profile. Choose an analytics tool when the requirement changes to history, sharing, export, or owner-only metrics. Other cluster pages are not public yet.

Frequently asked questions

Can a no-export audit still be reviewed?

Yes. Disclose loaded scope, time, and field, and retain seven source URLs. It simply does not produce a recomputable data file.

Why at least 12 cards?

It gives Top, Bottom, and middle positions room to differ. It is a workflow threshold, not statistical significance.

Can I create an account health score?

Not defensibly from the loaded public set. It lacks full history, a baseline, and private metrics.

Does sorting affect the public profile?

No. It is a temporary local order in the current browser page.
