How it works

The shared Web Tidy model for platform docs, use case docs, SKU docs, and product pages.

Web Tidy docs are organized around three objects: platforms, use cases, and SKUs. This keeps the information SEO-friendly without making each small plugin look like a separate documentation site.

Platforms

Platform docs answer: "What can Web Tidy do on this website or app?"

Examples:

Use cases

Use case docs answer: "Which Web Tidy tools can help with this job?"

Examples:

SKU docs

SKU docs are single-page explainers for one tool. One SKU should not be split into multiple child pages unless the product becomes large enough to need its own docs section.

A SKU page should include:

  • Quick start
  • What the popup can do
  • Export fields or visual changes
  • Formats and permissions
  • Product boundaries
  • Troubleshooting
  • Product page links

Product pages remain under /product/{sku} and focus on conversion.

Linking model

Use these link paths consistently:

  • Platform overview links to every SKU on that platform.
  • Use case pages link across platforms and SKUs.
  • SKU docs link back to the platform and forward to /product/{sku}.
  • Product pages can link back to SKU docs for workflow detail.
